Walk It Off!
Make sure to count every little thing you put into your mouth. It makes a huge difference at the end of the day. gum, mints, gum drop, bite of daughter's cake... once I did that it helped keep my weight at bay.
Instead of buying a carton of ice cream, I buy single serve ice cream bars or sandwiches. My current fav is Breyer's Smooth and Creamy Brownie Sandwiches (with chocolate ice cream). Only 160 calories and 4 grams of fat. Very satisfying and very good!
I have to remember that there are other reasons I am doing this besides the number on the scale! Look at other things - the way clothes fit, the way you feel, the compliments you get - the scale will catch up sooner or later!
I whipped up a package of Knorr Pesto Sauce last night. The label shows 15 calories per serving, with 3 servings per package. Wow, not bad, right? However, you add a quarter cup of olive oil to make the sauce. Nowhere on the package does it indicate 'as prepared' with nutrition info. So I realized I also needed to add the calories for the oil and divide it into servings to get an accurate accounting of my calories. Use your common sense and don't just rely on the packaging!
Apple Cider Vinegar is excellent in boosting metabolism. It is a wonderful fat burner and assists in reducing excess weight. Take 1 1/2 teaspoons of organic apple cider vinegar in a glass of pure water, twice a day. Do this for approx. 3 weeks and then go off it for a week. Repeat when desired.
