Pedometer

Wear a pedometer daily - you'll be surprised how much walking you do during your everyday daily activities. At the end of the day, check to see how close you are to the 10,000 steps-a-day point, and then go for a walk! Play mind games on yourself to get as many steps as you can each day.

The Secret to Dining Out

If I'm going to be dining out & know where in advance, I'll try to check out the menu ahead of time online and see what my options are. This way I can plan my meal, and any accomodations for eating in advance, before I get there. And, it means I don't keep everyone waiting while calculate the menu!

Feeding the sweet tooth

I always crave something sweet after dinner. It can literally drive me crazy! Instead of reaching for the piece of Dove chocolate that my husband insists on buying, I keep Sugar Free Jello snack cups in the fridge and grab one of those (preferably AFTER my evening walk!) as my sweet reward.

From work clothes to WORKOUT clothes

Instead of changing into something comfortable after work, I immediately put on my workout clothes & take off my makeup, so I'm ready to for my evening walk soon after dinner. My reward? A nice hot shower later :)
