Losing weight is not an easy task. It is both a mental and physical endeavor that will challenge you in ways that are hard to prepare for. Lean on someone who understands the peaks and lows. Don't try and go it alone. If you go to bed at night envisioning yourself healthy and can commit to a program then make sure you have atleast one supportive friend to rally for you when the going gets tough. Many times, the difference between success & failure is a pep talk or a good cry.
Before I drink my coffee or eat anything I drink 1 bottle of water (most are 16.5 ounces, so I get my first 2 and a half glasses in right away) I was always told you should drink water before you put anything else in your body in the a.m. since you have gone at least 8 hours without water as it is.
I was eagar to begin to walk/run. But I failed to stretch before beginning. I ended up with severe tendinitis, which caused me to put my walking/running regimen on hold until my tendinitis healed. So a word to the wise properly stretch before exercising or you pay dearly for your mistake.
If you get an injury like a sprained ankle, take the time off the exercise to let it heal. Focus on eating right and resting. Return to your exercise regime once you are fully healed. Chances are if you do half exercises with an injury you are just going to prolong the healing process and it'll take
Due to a busy day schedule, I tend to workout late at night. Once I'm done, I want to take in some protein to help my muscles out, but I have to go to sleep soon and don't want to eat a meal right before showering/sleeping. My solution? I drink a cup of milk! Not many calories, not harsh on the stomach, and it has 8g of protein. Drinking it warm helps me relax before going to sleep.
When you have eaten something not in your eating plan or have found yourself binging don't wait for tomorrow to start over. Stop right now. Walk over to the garbage throw away whatever is left, spit out that mouthful the minute you realize what you are doing is harmful to your health and success.
