Lose your water weight

When your body can't trust you to keep the water coming, it stores extra in the hips and ankle areas. Once you start drinking water regularly, the extra stores will flush out of the body, with the extra weight of it along.

Find a song that makes you want to move

Get a song that has a great beat, and that makes you automatically want to get up and go. Then, when you are feeling like blowing off a workout, play that song, and see what happens.

Visualize Your Goals

Spend a couple of moments each day before you get out of bed, just visualizing having a successful day. What do you want to accomplish today? What do you need to do, or to take with you today to be successful.

Since I have started doing this every morning, I find that I have really "stepped up" in my daily tasks.

Things go easier, and less gets forgotten. Try it!

*I* will succeed...*I* am in control

Sometimes in life, we tend to start reacting to things around us, and play the victim. We react, and feel like we have no control on making a better life for ourselves.

Well, one simple change can stop that ride, and that change is to change your thinking to using *I* in all your sentences. This puts the decision making back in your own hands, and quite often opens the mind up to see a solution.

Make a list

It's an amazing feeling of empowerment to check things off of a list. It gives me incentive to get things done when I can do a job and cross it out. Bonus points if you do the worst job first, and then not have to think about it for the rest of the day. Having a list will see me get more done than not having one. And yes, I put exercise and strength training on it!

Stretch it out!

Set yourself a goal to start adding stretching into your day. Yoga feels really good, and is good for you too. But you can start even with some deep breaths and reaching as high as you can.

Hang out with positive friends

When you need to get yourself back on track, find a Spark team that is upbeat and full of motivation and inspiring stories. Read what they are doing on a daily basis, while visiting their pages to see what challenges they are facing or have overcome. Seeing what others are able to push past, helps to get you moving in the right direction as well. There are so many heros on this site.

When the forecast shows rain.....

Don't let a little rain foil your plans to work out. Adjust and do a DVD or some indoor gym equipment. Use a set of resistance bands to row your make believe boat! Put on some upbeat music, and dance away. There's still lots you can do when it's raining out there!
