Take the Stairs, not the elevator

If you have the choice, take the stairs and not the elevator! That way you'll be able to burn some extra calories throughout the day :)

Write down the calories of food you did not eat

Keep a list of all the foods that you didn't eat and write down the corresponding calories. That way, you can see how many calories you're saving yourself from. It feels great to know how your diet has changed (i.e. no more midnight snacks) and can be motivational :)

For me, I feel proud at the end of the day knowing that I successfully strayed away from certain desserts!

People say to Drink a lot of water. But Water gets Boring. So...

People say to drink a lot of water. But water gets boring. So, I drink seltzer (sparkling water) instead! I personally like plain seltzer but there are a lot of different flavors that have no calories. With seltzer, it's a lot easier to drink more water and use everyone else's water-related-secrets

Exercise while reading, watching TV, etc.

My best friend who is a track and cross country runner told me about doing the Lying Abduction (or Adduction) exercise while you read. But you can do it while watching TV as well. I love doing this because then I feel more time-efficient!
