Keeping your head clear.

There is a device from India called a Neti pot that is used to cleanse the sinuses. Modern versions can be found in almost any chain drugstore. Imagine a slender bottle that holds 8 oz. of water. You add a packet of salt (comes with the device) to 8 ox. of warm water. Lean over the sink, using the nozzle squirt half the water up one nostril. Yuck... I hear you say. It does take getting used to and you have to keep your mouth open. After doing both sides, your head and sinus feel great.

Vitamin D and "Vitamin G"

We all know we need vitamin D and we get it from sunshine. One great place to absorb it is your eyes. Don't stare directly at the sun, but by exposing your eyes to sunlight for 2 minutes you will have exposed your entire blood supply.
Vitamin G???? Not a "true" vitamin, but one that I believe is good for our health. For centuries our ancestors walked the earth barefoot, lightly clad in animal or grass soles. When was the last time you were barefoot on the ground. Try it!

New Practitioners and Discounts

I love getting facials, but there are expensive. So I watch for announcements of new people starting with a salon or studio. They often offer discounts as a way to get clients. I just got a great 60 minutes facial for $30.

Grilling Veggies indoors

Those wonderful perforated anodized metal pans or bowls that allow you to grill veggies outdoors can be used in your oven. I set my top shelf slightly below middle of oven, put a cookie sheet covered with foil on the bottom shelf. Using zucchini, onions, green peppers, etc. I used a some salt and pepper and olive oil. Broiled for about 10-15 mint. Wonderful!

Cutting in 1/2

Dealing with huge portions of healthy food. I ordered an Asian chicken salad with dressing on the side and got a portion big enough for a family dinner. I eyed where the 1/2 way point would be stopped eating and boxed the rest for lunch today!
