If you have a coffee maker that uses single use coffee pods and you're having a hard time finding them as I am or just find them too expensive...make your own. I found tea bags (no tea, just the bags) at Whole Foods (100 for $4.99). They are larger than the single tea bags so I trimmed the bag a bit. Open the bag and spoon in 4 tbsp of coffee and fold over and staple at the fold. I made 40 pods for $6.57 or 17 cents each.
tracking nutrition is essential for losing weight, but i can't always find the foods i eat. to be precise, i enter the information from the package labels, but the kitchen is not near the computer - so use an iphone/smartphone to take a photo of the label and then enter it in the nutrition tracker later. also works for when you are not at home!
When you buy your whole watermelon, immediately cut it open and cut out the fruit from the rind and place the chunks in containers. This will make for easy enjoyment and keeps your refrigerator free from a large watermelon taking up space. Thus saving you money from having to throw out old watermelon that has not been eaten.

I've never been a morning person & LOVE to smack the "snooze button" on my alarm several times when it blares at me in the morning. For the past week & a half, I've been jumping out of bed & getting on my Gazelle for 15 minutes while watching the local news instead of staying cozy in bed. I find that I actually have more energy for the day & I have a feeling of accomplishment!
i have a large family, and things always pile up, to the point where we are overrun with things. now, for every bag of items i bring INTO my house, one bag of equal size of items has to go out that same week. this is the RULE. this includes clothing, food, toys, even electronics! outgoing items can be donated to charity or given to family/friends. this helps us keep our home clutter free, make room for new things and to share with others.
What you do FIRST thing when you get up in the morning can impact your day, positive or negative. Say aloud" I WILL make this a positive day today. Then make a plan and stick with it no matter what. Make each day count as if it is the only day that matters!
