The Team Huddle

Huddle with all of your teams every day. It will serve the same purpose as a Huddle in Football. By the time you have gone to each team you will have read/ and heard in you head Go Team! Woo Hoo! You can do it! Make it Happen! Even (especially) on days where I feel like a lump the Huddle gets me up and exercising.

Fresh, Clean, Dry, Parsley

Both My husband and I enjoy cooking. We love to use fresh parsley. I buy it by the bunch at the Grocery store during the times when my garden isn't producing any. Cleaning and drying it was always a big production. I recently bought a lettuce spinner. It works really great for drying bunches of parsley too ( and saves loads of paper towels).

If you take medication every day.. remember to take it!

I know this sounds crazy but..if you have medicine you are suppose to take every day..actually take it. You'll feel better. If you do it at the same times every day it is easier to remember. I take my first pill of the day with my first glass of water for the day. If I go to drink coffee and my mouth is dry I know I have forgotten my pill. Daily pill cases are helpful too!

Now where did I put that?

Last year I paid a lot of money for Hockey tickets. I remember having them..I put them some place "safe" and they have never been seen again. Luckily they were able to reissue new tickets. Now.. when I put something in a hidden ( stupid) place I use my Spark appointment tracker.

Do some research and don't be afraid to speak up!

I have a gas stove with a metal grid on top. There is a separate grid for a wok. It recently broke. I didn't think it should, being made out of metal. I looked up the part on line and found it for $68. I called the Manufacturer to ask if there were any recalls. They said " No, but we have the part".The rep then said the part was $125. I said " No thanks, I found it online for $68" I was then told that because I was " such a valuable customer" they would give me the part for a discount that in

Keep your receipt with the book for major appliances

I have in the past 3 years used more product Warranty's than ever before. In the case of my dishwasher I was able, by having my receipt handy, to show the authorized repair man the date that I had purchased the machine. The new motor it needed was covered and we just paid labor costs.

Dr. Scholl's Moleskin

I walk a lot, both the treadmill and outside. Sometimes I even run. I often have places where my shoes rub on my feet, not enough for a blister, still annoying. I now use Dr. Scholl's Moleskin. It can be cut to any size I want and is very sticky so it stays in place and protects that raw spot so

Easy Oatmeal

I make Oatmeal every morning. I use the Old Fashioned Quaker Oats but I still microwave it. I use 1/2 cup Oats and 1 cup water and cook for 2 minutes. I have a canister that I store the Oatmeal in and I also keep a 1/2 cup measuring cup in there too..makes preparing it that much quicker.
