Add flavor by using fresh herbs

Skip the dried herbs and spices and go fresh ones, your taste buds will thank you. Sadly, fresh herbs at the store do not last long and they are rather expensive. So I've started a windowsill herb garden and grow my own oregano, chives, and basil. It's super cheap and so easy to take care of.

You can also freeze herbs if you need to, as the flavor holds up well. No more tasteless bottled seasonings for me!

Mix it up

When you're eating for weight loss, remember that it doesn't mean limiting your foods so you're eating the same thing every day. You're more likely to stick to it if you add some variety. Make a goal to experiment once a week - eat one healthy thing you've never had before, like exotic fruit.
