Having a tough day? Want to throw in the towel?

Don't! YOU'RE soooo worth the effort of finding a solution! Before you eat, take a walk, read a book, play with the dog, read blogs, SparkMail a Maintainer, prepare a healthy dish that will help you stay on plan, work on a hobby, listen to music, do some yoga poses, take a bubble bath, call a friend, post on a team that offers lots of support, write a blog, scream in your pillow, journal your feelings. There are so many things you can do to work through your feelings. Food is not one of them.

Cook Ahead

Maintenance is tough. Don't come into the house starving without a thing to eat. Spend some time on the weekend preparing ahead. A couple of recipes cooked and pre-portioned in the fridge makes it much easier to be a success on a busy week night when you simply don't feel like breaking out the cookware. Plus, you have a nice home cooked meal to sit down to ... now, that's a treat!

Plan Ahead

Planning is equally as important as we maintain as it was when we were losing. Spend some time making menus for at least the next day so that you know where you're spending your nutrition. This way, you don't get to the end of your day with hunger still looming and no calories left to spend. Planning really is key!

Forgiveness

We don't do it correctly 100% of the time. Guilt won't help. Forgiveness will. We're sooooo worth moving on from our mistakes, taking away a lesson learned, once we've forgiven ourselves for going astray.

Be honest with yourself

Track every bite, lick, and taste. Be honest with yourself about what you are eating and drinking. It's going to show at the scale or in your clothes so face the truth before it shows up some place else!
