Everyone wants to lose weight, i know. Today, i was complaining about how much i eat and need to cut back, and a total stranger told me, " You look great, be thankful that you even have an appetite to eat, I wish my wife did, but she is dying from cancer".
It does not matter if They say you can't do it, what matters the most is if YOU say it!. There are 3 principles that enable us to take charge of our life which include- RESPONSIBILITY, COURAGE, and DISCIPLINE. Use them! NO ONE CAN MAKE YOU FEEL INFERIOR W/O YOUR CONSENT!!! lOSE THOSE POUNDS BABY!
i have diet bowls sitting on my counter, one is labeled healthy snacks, one is labeled fruits, one is labeled vegetables, meat, exercise etc. In these bowls i have put strips of paper in them of choices that must be included in order for me to lose weight. This gives me a new choice everyday.
When i get tired of my favorite exercise videos, which i am sure everyone does at some time, i get out my camcorder/web cam and i put on my favorite music cd on LOUD, sometimes i will create a mixed cd that is perfect for working out, then for about 30-45 minutes, i will create my own workout video.
I have found out that when my body plateaus, it is going into starvation mode because of my decrease in calories, my body isn't use to that. So, i eat more calories than i am supposed to for about 2 days, then drop my calories back down, then i can lose weight.
if your last month weight loss was not what you hoped it would be, and maybe you even gained a littile. Sit down with your journal/ or blank piece of paper, and write down a list of what you did positive this month for your diet, and what you know that you did to sabotage yourself, BE HONEST!!
when i feel like having a snack, i have the habit of wanting something crunchy and sweet, so i find my favorite yougurt/low fat and i add grape nuts cereal to it. This combination cures my sweet tooth, and the grapenuts give me that constant crunch that potato chips give me.
