Walk a dog from the shelter

Most shelters are happy if volunteers come and walk their dogs. If you are inexperienced with dogs they will pick the cutest most patient dog for you to walk with.
Not only will you get exercise, but the dog might motivate you to jog part of the way or move at a quicker pace. He will love you for every step the two of you are exercising in the fresh and open nature!

From needs to be eaten to needs to be frozen

You know those brown bananas on the table will not be eaten in time. And the zucchinis from your aunts garden are not looking too good either, but you have been eating those for two weeks now.
Just cut it all up and freeze it!
This gives you time to figure out what to do with it.

Make a sauce out of nothing

Well not nothing, but flour and spice. Ingredients most of us have in the pantry already. When defrosting or heating your fresh veggies give them a good flour dust (1 tsp per cup) and let it brown before you add water or broth or wine. This will thicken your sauce and give it a nice texture.

Carry your food

Try going to the supermarket on foot and with just a backpack. This way you limit yourself to buy only the things you really need. Just try it! It is an experience to see the weight of your food intake.
Do not be scared, probably you have enough food in your pantry or freezer to live on for weeks.

Weekly 2Do- List

Instead of having a daily to do list make one for the whole week but divided in the different days. This way you will not delay things to a busy day.
And if you have a spare minute you can "work ahead" and do some task from the other days.

Freeze left-over juices from bottles or canned fruit .
This way you only have to put in the tasty ice to have a flavoured and cold drink for free.
Peach, pineapple and pear work a treat.
Of course it flavours you herb tea just as yummyly.
Try apple-mint or peach-green tea. emoticon

Tidy Underwear drawer

I save the cardboard tubes from toilet paper and put a underpant in each one. This keeps my drawer looking tidy and when looking for a special color or slip I find it right away by glancing in the tube.
