When I want one of the kids to do something- it is much easier on me and them if I get the attention first! Often, I'm thinking of what I want them to do and just start talking thinking they are listening to me... then, I usually end up repeating myself and being frustrated. This way- they hear it!

Why not learn from someone else's mistake?

The sayings, "Hindsight is 20/20." and "Learn from your mistakes." But... why not use someone else's 20/20 hindsight and learn from someone else's mistakes? I know some of us need to learn things on our own, but we really could go a lot farther faster if we would adopt this new philosophy!
