Take a lesson from your kids

I try to think of how my little one plays when I'm working out, and get my body moving with as much freedom and joy as he has, just enjoying the ability to move about, the fresh air, etc. All the little things I take for granted.

Measure entire dinner on plate and sit down to eat

I measure the portions of the carb, protein, veggies and place them on my plate and sit down at the table to eat slowly and savor it - I do not go back to serve more. This works for planned meals as well as on days when I was too busy to plan, I can still stay within limits and eat healthy.

I find it helpful to measure out my snacks, like nuts, into individual bags with one serving in a bag, that way you know you are not over-eating
