Apply your coupons to the SMALLEST size

You know that the smallest size package always cost you more per ounce, but did you know if you apply your coupons to smaller packaging, it usually turns out CHEAPER per ounce than if you were to apply it to the larger size! I had to do the math on this one to believe it!

save those extra napkins!

Next time you go thru the fast food drive thru (for a salad of course - lol!) don't throw those extra napkins in the trash! Bring them in the house and use then. Plus, think of all the trees you will be saving!

Stop impulse spending!

I always find SOMETHING I think is cute, but remind myself, "Do I really need it, or would I rather spend money on more important things?" (like paying down my credit card debt or saving for kids college education)

Also, I have a list of things I buy that I really can't resist, and look at every so often to think to myself "I could of spent that towards paying off my credit card".

I also don't use credit cards anymore. If I can't pay for it with cash, then I can't afford it!

drink coffee

I find that when I'm craving food or think that I'm hungry between meals, I make myself a cup of hot coffee (no sugar). The warm liquid takes away the cravings!

wear a weighted vest/back pack

wear a weighted back pack on your walks to burn more calories!
I can't afford the weighted vest, so I am using pennies in a small back pack that weighs 6 pounds when I go out for my morning walks. Also, weight bearing exercise builds your bones!

I had to remember this all week because I was getting frustrated that the scale wasn't moving. But with patience and mindful eating, it finally moved a pound in the right direction! you can do it!
