Fabric softener substitute

did you know you could use plain vinegar rather than fabric softener & save tons? your clothes don't smell like vinegar when done either. Just use in your fabric softener dispenser or Downey ball. Also if you place a couple of crumpled up balls of aluminum foil in your dryer with your load of clothes you remove the static cling- basic science & it really works! emoticon

A Cheap Date Night

my hubby & I have this perfect way to feel like we get out and have some fun spending very little $,
we go to the local Border's, get a pot of tea to share ($2.89) and sit together sipping tea and reading books & magazines galore. We then put everything back & make our way home. Sometimes we follow this with a walk through town or at a local park if the weather agrees.

adding to the change jar thought...

in addition to having a change jar- which really does add up fast!
We started a savings account- once a month I can go around the house, in the car, in the sofa & gather it all & just throw it in to collect interest.
Even if it is only a couple of dollars you can really see it grow in time!

New Days!

Find a way to make a record of your new start- mark the day down- express it to yourself as a new start- even if it should be day 2- know that the wise man gets up repeatedly when he falls- the fool just stays on the ground...

Address keepup

as you get correspondance in, especially around the holidays you may not have time to write down new addresses- keep a small basket or an envelope in your desk drawer to toss in the address corner from your envelope- as they pile up when you have the time copy them in your address book

eliminating onion odor and tears

if you have a stainless steel sink you can rub your hands along the insides of the sink as you wash off the mess from slicing onions- there is something that happens from the steel that eliminates the odors but also immediately neutralizes the gas that causes your eyes to tear!
