I have horrible problems sleeping: I struggle to get six hours, and even those aren't quality. I wake tired and often in a bad mood. I've found that if I work out for at least 20 minutes before bed (about an hour to ninety minutes before), I sleep soundly and I wake rested and energized in the morning. Even sleeping pills couldn't do that for me!
The secert to my success is keeping my goal and my family in mind at all times. When ever I feel down I think what it will be like to be able to go out side and play with my kids or walk the dog with out giving out of breath in 2 mins.
I have tried joining a wellness center, a gym, and curves. I tried softball, racquetball,, and tennis. The Having recently been diagnosed with diabetes I am more cognizant of the need to exercise. I am using a Certified Personal Trainer. On the intake form I took a major leap of faith giving her Carte Blanche for setting up the strength training and directing Cardio.
if you hit a plateau, just switch some things up. start doing a new kind of exercise, try a new video or sign up for a new class at ur gym. also adjust the number of calories you eat every day for a little while. ur body gets used to certain things and gets lazy, so switch it up and watch those pounds come off.
In my mind, "dieting" to me means there is an end. Meaning, when you've reached your goal, you can stop "dieting". I believe it is a full, mind,body, spiritual LIFESTYLE CHANGE. Peeple get fat because of several factors. I believe a change of way of life will lead to everything you've ever wanted, including a fantastic,achievable weight loss.
Drinking cold/ice water instead of room temperature or cool tap water can help you burn calories. The cool water brings your body temperature down slightly, you burn about 70 calories when your body works to bring it back to normal. This is a quick and easy way to burn 70 pounds! My secret to weightloss? Produce, produce, produce, workout, produce. Yes we need to workout, yes we should track calories, but the surest way to watch what you eat is fill up on as much fresh stuff as possible! When I say produce I mean fresh or frozen. But the point is you get more volume for your calories and the rest of you will begin looking healthier as the weight comes off. 9 or more servings a day to prevent cancer! Eat it up! In fact STUFF yourself on fruit and veggies.
