Popcorn

If your grocery store has bulk bins, take advantage of purchasing your popcorn in this way instead of the pre-packaged stuff. It is SO much more affordable to buy a pound in a bag instead of a jar or box of microwaveable packets.

Kroger Cowpals

Instead of spending upwards of $4 on Laughing Cow brand spreadable cheese wedges, throw down less than $2 for the Kroger Cowpals Light Swiss Flavored Pasturized Cheese Spreadable Wedges. They're just 30 calories each with 1.5 grams of fat and are just as tasty as the brand name.

Helping Hand

Although it can be difficult at times, asking for help can be one of the best things you can do for yourself while trying to commit to a healthier lifestyle. You're not putting people out, you're not being a bother, you're just asking for someone to lift you up. Put yourself first and know that friends and family absolutely want to see you succeed, and further, will probably be touched that you asked for their assistance.

Gratitude

I've found that keeping a gratitude journal helps me tremendously while trying to lose weight. It forces me to put things in perspective and realize that on even the worst days, good things still creep in there to motivate us onward.
