I always make sure to comment on my group members' blogs rather than a random strangers'. You get your two points and build community, plus you get to read people's experiences who already have some shared interest or goal.
I can never remember to take my daily multivitamin, so I added it to my "other goals" page to both remind myself and give myself a spark point for doing it!
I'm not a huge spinach fan, but I know that it's so, so good for you. So I started eating salads with mostly iceberg lettuce and just a little spinach chopped up very small. I gradually increased the spinach content as I got used to it. Now I can eat it no problem.
