Volunteer

I don't get "paid" to volunteer but I get quite a few "perks".
I get a "free" lunch (yes I know-no such thing as a "free lunch") when I volunteer at the hospital. I received a membership to the historical society because I volunteer there. Plus there's the volunteer recognition lunches, etc. each year.

Use the library!

I get a lot of books, videos and movies (DVDs)and CDs from my local library. Yes- I have to sometimes wait quite a while for some things but it beats having to shell out money I don't really have. Also they sometimes offer free programs, etc.

Asking yourself this question!

Before buying anything-Ask yourself-Do I need this or do I just want this? If you just want it - it's probably best to not buy it. Also ask yourself if you may already have it.
