Another way to count your cups.

Another sparker posted the secret of pennies on the window sill I am using 9 pennies and a dime for #10. It is only a dime but I really am striving for the silver and beyond every day. Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon To the Sparker who posted the original.

Love your body! The body you have now, could be someone elses goal!

There are people who would love to be under 300lbs, 250, 200 etc. Before putting yourself down for not being where you want to be, remember there is someone struggling to get where you are now. Stay positive and learn to love every stage, and plateau.

A Clean Slate

Remember that every meal and everyday is a clean slate. If you slip and make a bad choice don't throw it all out the window, start anew with the very next meal. Everyday is a fresh start! emoticon

Progress, not perfection

Remember, two steps forward and one step back is still one step forward. As long as you keep moving forward, you're winning. No one is perfect -- forgive yourself, learn from your experience, and soldier onward.
Progress, not perfection!

The Lunch Drawer

I have a drawer set aside in the fridge for my lunch choices. I pack my lunch 5 days a week and I don't like to spend a lot of time making up lunches. The drawer is filled with little one serving goodies of each of the food groups. I have yogurt, cottage cheese, babybel cheese and laughing cow wedges. I have baby carrots, celery sticks, bell pepper slices, apple slices and clementines. There are single servings of hummus, crackers, pretzels and tortillas folded into baggies.

Believe

Believe you can do it and it's done. If you see yourself thinner you can get there. Think about it! Then do it! When someone orders something fattening - taste it and remember that you look so good right now that you don't want to spoil it. And enjoy how you feel about yourself. You are wonderful.

Time waits for no man.

Every year I use to say " I am going to lose weight." I would try and lose maybe 10 lbs. I would regain and would have to start over.
I stopped myself dead in the tracks one day and told myself " You have not achieved your goal and year after year you do the same thing. The years pass and you still look the same. TIME WAITS FOR NO MAN! Get ON AND STAY ON. YOU WILL THEN SEE CHANGE!Losing another year without change is not I want, leaving unwanted pounds in the old year sounds better to ME.

Pick one thing to work on today

Pick just one thing you want to focus on today and then do it. It could be anything- walk more, drink more water, up your fruits, get more sleep.
Just make that your goal for the day and then pick a new one tomorrow.

Rewards

Every time I exercise I put 1 dollar into a jar and when I meet my final goal weight I can spend that money guilt free on anything I want such as new workout gear or a splurge purchase.
