Use the Quick Trackers

Although I'd love to have time to use the Cardio Tracker daily, I often do not have the time. In addition, it does not always have the different things I do, such as Body Electric or the pedal exerciser that my doctor has strongly recommended. I'm using the Quick Tracker. Wish it had the calories burned!

flavored popcorn

I love popcorn as a snack. Instead of buttering and salting my portion, I now add spices, like sweet basil or cilantro. It's delicious, and it cuts down on "the bad stuff!"

Make a Plan

Set your goal, and then write the steps to meet it. Make sure to include short-term goals and reasonable periods for managing your plan--every two weeks, a week, or even 2 - 3 days. Review and see what was good and continue with it. And...forgive your breaking down and doing something unhealthy.

Take 15 minutes to declutter or organize, and you will see a difference within days! I'm doing this daily at home PLUS an additional 15 at work. It makes a world of difference!

Exercising

This "secret" is based upon one I've read earlier. I find I must exercise early in the day. If I don't, I just won't do it! I'm trying to ensure I exercise daily, so if that means I must get us earlier, then I just must do it!

Monitoring the amount of water you drink

Our state insurance plan has the best way to ensure we get our daily water requirements. It's a "2 by 2" plan. Get a 16-oz water bottle and fill it with your water. Drink two of those by 2 PM, and then drink two more before bedtime. It works for me! emoticon

2 Hampers for Laundry

I have two hampers for laundry---one for the bathroom for the dried but dirty towels and wash clothes, one in the bedroom for the clothes.

Take Your Lunch to Work!

It's no secret! Pack your lunch, or, if you must, invest in some low-fat, low sodium lunch products. I teach school, and I save $4 daily whenever I take my lunch. Plus---it's healthier for me too!
