Every SparkPoint I earn is equal to a penny. I keep track of how many points/pennies I have. When I want to get myself something, new shoes, workout DVD, game for Wii, etc. it comes from the points/pennies I have earned. A great incentive to check in everyday on SP, track food and fitness, etc.
From the time I get out of bed in the morning until the time I go to bed at night I wear a pedometer. Sometimes I forget to take it off when I go to bed, DH says it's so I get all the steps from sleepwalking counted. My goal is to get 10,000 steps per day. I am lost without my trusty Omron pedometer.
I do the usual things to burn more calories...use stairs when possible, park further away, etc. But, some others I do are march in place while I dry my hair, when we have down time in the lab I walk a big circle around the lab until more work is ready, when I check the mail I walk the long way around.
