Every SparkPoint I earn is equal to a penny. I keep track of how many points/pennies I have. When I want to get myself something, new shoes, workout DVD, game for Wii, etc. it comes from the points/pennies I have earned. A great incentive to check in everyday on SP, track food and fitness, etc.

Pedometer

From the time I get out of bed in the morning until the time I go to bed at night I wear a pedometer. Sometimes I forget to take it off when I go to bed, DH says it's so I get all the steps from sleepwalking counted. My goal is to get 10,000 steps per day. Burn extra calories every chance you get

I do the usual things to burn more calories...use stairs when possible, park further away, etc. But, some others I do are march in place while I dry my hair, when we have down time in the lab I walk a big circle around the lab until more work is ready, when I check the mail I walk the long way aroun...

Variety is the spice of life. That is variety in workouts. Don't let your body get used to the same workout everyday. Switch them up and keep it guessing.

Morning workout

I start each morning with a workout, even if it just 10 or 15 minutes. I have grown to love starting my day that way. Also, if something happens and I'm unable to workout later in the day, at least I got in one workout.
