I finally figured out that if I put a basket on the kitchen table, I could put mail in the basket as it came in, so it wouldn't get lost in the general melee, & I could therefore open it on a timely basis.
It's really true -- exercise, even just walking for 1/2 hour, really curbs your appetite. I get hungriest when I'm just sitting on my kazoo at night, watching tv. But when I got back from my walk this evening, I wasn't hungry at all. And exercise is so good for getting your BG down!
It has lately occurred to me that the reason I never get anything done in the house or yard is that I do too many other things. I write all those other things in my day planner, but I fill the day planner up & then there's no time for housework or yardwork! I need to write time for chores in too!
I have found that I generally don't have enough time to completely clean one room. So I just do a little bit at a time: fold 3 articles of clothing instead of trying to do the whole thing at once. Much much easier on the back!
