Since I have a 2 year old, I am always looking for ways to clean without having harsh chemicals around. I use Vinegar and water instead of Windex, Baking soda instead of Comet and now I came across this article.
When cleaning your kitchen sink area, don't forget to clean your hand soap, dish soap and/or lotion bottles too. They can carry germs and putting them back on a clean sink kind of defeats the purpose. I use a bathroom antibacterial foam cleaner, spray them, rinse, then dry and germ free! :) I also throw my sponges in the dishwasher with every load.
To calculate how many calories to eat daily in order to lose 2-3 pounds a week use the following equation: Multiply your weight (in pounds) by 12 and subtract 1,000. (Note: If you calculate a number thatís less than 1,200 calories, follow the 1,200-calorie plan. Eating less than that, itís hard to meet your daily nutrition requirements.) Recalculate as you lose.
When I am tempted to snack or eat out of boredom not hunger, usually all night long, I get on a website or read a magazine full of clothes I dream of getting into and window shop. Before I know it the urge to snack has passed and I'm even motivated to get up and exercise instead sometimes.
Every Morning, first thing, even before my Coffee/Tea, and logging on SP, I get dressed, work out shoes and all. It reminds and motivates me to exercise. If you work a 9-5, change as soon as you get home, whenever it fits your schedule best. If I'm in my tennies and sweats, I feel dumb just sitting on my rump. ;)
When I bake a cake or cookies for my family, I keep a bowl of fruit or vege's right on the counter where I am working, so when I am tempted to even lick a spoon I can reach for a healthy snack instead. Then later have my ONE cookie! :)
I have a notepad/journal I carry with me everywhere. On the first page is a list of my starting weight minus 5%, then that weight minus 5% and so on down the line to my goal weight. When I see that everyday, I get so excited about the day I can check off each one and I stay motivated. It's my own personal challenge.
