track it before you eat it

In the morning when I track my breakfast, I think about lunch, dinner and snack and plan what I will have. Then I track the whole day, making sure it is balanced, healthy and within range for calories, and other important areas. Then I try to stick to only what I have recorded, sometimes making minor changes as I go. This keeps me on track most days by discouraging mindless eating!

Less salad dressing, more taste

When I order a tossed salad in a restaurant, or when making it at home, I have my salad dressing on the side. Before each bite of salad I dip the fork prongs barely in the dressing. Then pick up some salad. You use very little dressing and still taste it with every bite.

Living on a fixed income

To make expenses fit our income, I go through everything occasionally, make two list, necessities and luxuries. First I review the necessities and reduce all as low as possible, then I work on the other list. prioritizing. This gives us a good life, and all we need, and want on a low income.

change routine

cutting my calories intake, paying attention to the salt in foods, changing my exercise program, working slow because I have to, but trying more cardio and doing something, either cardio or strength every day. Before I have been doing it in spurts, not regular enough for success
