Knowing what you are going to eat day to day really helps. I have found that my breakfasts, snacks & lunches tend to be the same variation of a few good-old stand-bys, within a certain caloric/healthful range - and at the same time during each day. It also made it easier to make tracking easier by plugging in those stand-by meals into the "group section" of the nutrition tracker. One click tracking at it's finest!
Once in a while, I break out the good old measuring cups and the food scale to do a check of how my portions are weighing up to what I THINK I'm actually doing. It's surprising how some things measure up! Combat portion distortion by doing this once in a while just to keep it real!
