Make Goal Sheets. At the bottom of the page, write the ultimate goal. Then above that write all the things that need to be done to reach that goal. Break each of those things down until you have a very precise and specific list. It makes the tasks easier and seem more attainable!
If itís after dinner and you know you donít want to eat anything else before you go to bed, if you start getting cravings for food, brush your teeth! Your teeth will feel minty fresh and youíre less likely to run back to the fridge with minty breath!
When I clean I have 3 laundry baskets and each one is labeled: KEEP, PLACES TO GO THINGS TO DO, and GIVE AWAY. Then I have a large trashbag for trash.
If I know right where something belongs or what I need to do with it I put it in the 2nd basket to keep me from getting sidetracked!
Write a letter to yourself from your future "skinny" self. Tell yourself you love you and that you support your efforts. If you don't love you you won't reach your goals. Say positive things in your letter that let you know you can fight the weight loss battle!
I always want to snack at work. Vending, snack shack, whatever. But I've found that if I sit for even 3 minutes and just write whatever comes to mind, never stopping, I get over the "hunger" for snacking faster.
