Keeping your MIND healthy, by making time for yourself and having hobbies you enjoy, is VERY IMPORTANT in keeping yourself motivated. It is just as important as exercise and nutrition.

You need to find a HEALTHY BALANCE of all the necessary things in life, in order to keep yourself MOTIVATED and on a path to SUCCESS.

Wanna up your water consumption?

Start drinking through a straw, and always refill the cup when empty.

For Christmas, my sister gave me one of those newly popular bpa-free plastic cups with a straw and screw-on lid. I use it all the time and have found that I now drink so much more water I have no problem meeting my daily requirement.
I even bought another one that I leave at work, and usually have my required 8 glasses consumed by the end of my workday, before I even go to the gym!

Healthy cold but sweet treat

emoticon Need a cold treat on a hot day? emoticon
Blend 1 cup of unsweetened chocolate almond milk, 1 small frozen banana, and a handful or so of frozen strawberries in your blender until the fruit is no longer chunks. It's a delicious frozen drink, like a neopolitan shake, with only 150-200 calories. It's a great way to cool you down without indulging in ice cream! Bonus! Yum yum!

Healthy frozen treat for hot summer day

I buy organic grapes in bulk when they're on sale, then I wash them, put on single layer on a cookie sheet, and put them in the freezer. Once frozen, I put them all in a freezer bag. (The first steps are important so they don't all freeze together in one block.)
Then whenever I want a sweet frozen treat, which is often in the summer, I munch on some frozen grapes. So delicious, cooling, and satisfying!
