Next time you are out at a restaurant instead of getting 2 meals, pick something you will both enjoy and get a "Date Plate" Most restaurant portion sizes are 2, sometimes even 3 times the correct size. Share your next meal, and make eating out a little less guilty! Enjoy!
When thinking of exercising how many of us contribute it as being a chore? What's helped me is not to think of the word as being laborious. Rather I think of it being a gift, something to reward myself, especially the benefits I reap of much needed weight loss.
How do you overcome a lack of motivation to workout? All you need is enough motivation to put your tennis shoes on. The obstacle is NOT the exercise itself, but its simply getting off the couch and dressing out for the exercise.
Everyone has bad days, EVERYONE. Don't beat yourself up if you have a day or week when you indulge too much. Just find your motivation again and get back on track. Use your food tracker, weigh everyday and celebrate all your accomplishments big or small!
There will never be enough chocolate or doritos or pizza or whatever your comfort food of choice is to fix what is hurting you. Once you realize that food is never the answer to your problems, you are one step closer to achieving your weight loss goal.
Everyone ususally thinks does not help, but, that is far from the truth. Last week I walked almost 14,000 steps in one day and guess what? The next day I weighed and lost over 3 pounds, imagine that???? Walking does work. It has for me.
If I crave pizza, I'll put marinara sauce (or spagetti sauce) in a pita pocket and add shredded cheese or string cheese and toast it in the toaster oven until the cheese melts. It's so good!
