One day during a bike ride, I found a silly band on the ground (rubber band shaped liked a dinosaur). My kids love 'em! So now I put it on my handlebars & whenever I hit a tough hill & I feel like quittin', I look at that silly band & think "what if my kids were watchin?" BOOM - pump baby pump!!
When I get in to work in the a.m., I take a trick from Neo's (the guy from The Matrix) playbook & tell myself "There is no elevator!' Just like the kid who helped Neo "free his mind" from the Matrix, I pretend my building doesn't have an elevator & happily take the stairs to my 4th-floor office!

I used to filter my water in the a.m. and then let it sit all day at room temp before going to the gym. I found that if I chilled the water in my office fridge during the day and then took it to the gym, I'd drink more of it chilled than not.
