Alcat Worldwide

This is a great blood test that tells you how the food you eat interacts with your immune system. The "wrong" food, although it may be a "healthful" for most people, will induce inflammation. The immune system aims to damage the food, which it mistakes as a harmful invader, such as a bacteria, parasite or virus, but also ends up damaging our own body. Long-term exposure can even trigger auto-immunity, where the immune system actively attacks our own tissues and bodily structures.

Garage Sales

Garage sales are great to find quality products (okay some not so great) at great prices. The greatest savings is on children's clothing and toys. Because they are growing so fast some items are brand new.

Meal Planning

At the beginning of each month make a calendar with all of the meals you would like to eat. Also, keep a running list of your absolute favorites so you can fill it in easier. Try a couple of new recipes each month.

Prepare Ahead

The night before prep all of your food for the next day. This way it is easy to grab your healthy choices as you run out the door. No excuse to grab convenience junk food or stop by a fast food joint on your way to work or other errands.

Move Instead of Sit

While my son is playing tball I like to walk around the field (outside of the fence of course). I can still watch, but lessen the likelihood of "bleacher butt."
