Gardening

I don't always find time for a defined workout, but I do a lot of gardening, so I try to make that into a mini workout, I do a lot of bending and lifting and stretching and try to maximize those movements to get a benefit. If one works at it you can really work up a sweat!

Treat It Like A Job

When I asked a young woman who had lost 200 pounds how she did it, she said that she treated weight loss like a job. No matter how she felt, she showed up. She showed up at the grocery store to buy the right food, she showed up to track her food, she showed up to walk, etc.

Motivational Maintenance Days

I find that motivation starts waning if I do not treat it as its own muscle group. I need to schedule workouts for my motivation, determination and mental strength, just like I would schedule cardio, stretching or strength training.
