Allow yourself to spontaneously workout!
While it is great to have a pre-scheduled workout plan I have surprised myself at times with squeezing in a good cardio and stretching session out of the blue! I keep my Zumba dvd in the XBox 360 so it's available anytime the TV is! I do this even in my pajamas! That's the benefit of working out at home!
YOUR BODY CAN DO MORE THAN YOUR MIND SAYS IT CAN DO.
YOUR BODY CAN DO MORE THAN YOUR MIND SAYS IT CAN DO. (I can do all things through Christ who strengthenth me)
My personal trainer has pointed this out to me & it's an amazing feeling of accomplishment.
I would encourage one to consider getting a Personal trainer, even if it's 2 days a wk. for half an hr each session. It's expensive yes, however it is worth it in other areas besides just work outs.
Mini Muffin Bites
One can of 100% Pumpkin mixed with any favorite flavor of cake mix and then baked in a mini muffin pan equals low fat mini snacks packed with healthy pumpkin!
On Track Calendar
I really like the On track calendar. I go to the planner and list the other goals and tasks I would like to do for the day. I remove any I didn't complete from the planner leaving only those I did. This gives me an ongoing diaryy of what I have completed on my On Track Calendar
I treat my computer as if it was my TV so about every ten minutes (when there are usually about 3 minutes of commercials) I get up and do 3 minutes of cardio. Anything works -knee ups, jacks, marching, grapevines, etc. It keeps my metabolism up
even for 5 minutes. make sure you do something conciously. take a walk. do some leg lifts. SOMETHING!! every single day.
"Reading" while you walk
I check out books on CD at my local library and listen on an inexpensive portable CD player while I walk . Losing yourself in a book means losing track of time and I easily double or triple what I had planned!
MIX 'EM UP
Don't keep doing the same workout every day, you will get bored and eventually quit. Do something different every time. You will enjoy the variety.
Take an Exercise "Break"
I used to think that exercising 5 days straight was the best thing I could do. However, by day 4-5 I was wiped out, and felt like my workout was really suffering. Now I work out, Mon. Tues. take a break on Wed. Work out on Thurs-Sat, break on Sunday. It gives my body time to recoup :)
wear the right undergarments
When you have lost some weight, pay attention that your undergarments still fit properly. I went for a run today, and found out my underpants are too big - very annoying!
