Add a couple of Marine Corps (or Army, etc.) running cadences to your ipod. When you need to kick it up a notch during a walk or jog, turn on a cadence. This helps me stay on tempo, and if you turn up the volume, you can hear their footsteps keeping time. Makes me feel like I'm running with a team. Plus, most of the cadences are short, at 1-2 minutes, which works perfectly for me (a beginning runner).
True and simple as the saying goes...."Slow and steady wins the race". It is true losing weight too fast can lead you to rebound and gain it back. Losing weight at a slow and steady pace allows your body to adjust to the change and helps you lose and/or maintain the weightloss.
I keep a storage of gifts, cards and wrap that I've bought at sales throughout the year. When I need to give a gift or card, I take one from my storage rather than hitting the shops. My storage enables me to prepare for the holiday season early and then I can sit back, relax and enjoy!
If you have problems motivating yourself to exercise, just start shooting for 100 spark points every day. You can't get there most days without exercise. If you find out you would rather rack up empty posts for 10 points instead of going for a walk, add another 10 or 20 points to your goal. Make it impossible to get your goal points without exercise points.

When I find myself slipping I go to my closet, get those pants and hold them up in front of me. The thought wearing those pants again lights a fire under me to keep it moving in the right direction.
If you plan on paying cash for something bigger, chances are, you'll have to save for it first. This can save you money in a number of ways. 1st, you can earn interest if you're saving the money in an interest bearing account. 2nd, as you're waiting to buy the item, the prices might come down, and you also have extra time to do some comparison shopping. 3rd, by the time you have the money saved, you might find that you no longer want/need the item, and you can invest the money elsewhere.
For example; if you are eating a sandwich and you can not taste the cheese on it why put in on there. If you can't taste it don't waste any of your calorie, fat or carb. allowances. Save it for something you can taste and savor.
