The tried-and-true habits that have helped you lose weight the right way.
I sometimes have difficulty drinking 8 glasses per day and find if I make a large jug of unsweetened green tea and keep it in the fridge I am more apt to drink more, a dash of fresh lemon and I am set. Green tea is a great antioxident and some say it has weight loss properties. I find it is helping.
The best way to lose weight and stay on track is to plan as much as possible! Plan your food, plan your exercise, plan your rest days... its fine to adjust the plan as needed, but having it on paper helps you to stick with it!
Keep a 16 oz cup nearby and have a cup of water as soon as you wake up. If you exercise in the morning, make sure you have another 16 oz. cup of water during exercise. For the rest of the day, drink from a 16 oz. bottle of water or a 16 oz. cup.
I find that when I eat the bulk of my calories in the first two meals of the day and eat less for dinner, it's easier for me to lose weight. That's because I am using the calories for the most active times of the day. Plus, I'm not as hungry at dinner having eaten well at breakfast and lunch.
Positive thinking can go a long way!
If you're worried about night time or mindless snacking, brush your teeth. It's a signal to your brain that you are done eating for the day, it keeps your dentist happy and it makes a lot of what you would snack on taste really gross.

Eating a healthy breakfast keeps me on track the rest of the day. Because I start off full I don't overeat later.
I also plan a morning & afternoon snack. I fill/take a small personal collapsible cooler with the snacks I can have for the day. I can eat anything inside...guilt free!
I find when I am busy, I tend not to snack. It also means I'm moving more which is good for my body! This could be anything from organizing rooms, working outside, working/playing with my kids... anything.... just keep busy!
