Keep your desk snack ready

I try to keep an extra apple or something at work for a snack and to keep me away from office donuts! I am way more apt to eat a sliced apple than a whole apple so I bought an extra apple core/slicer and keep it in my desk.

More Fruits & Veggies Please!

I find that eating more fruits and veggies (rather than grains or carbs) seriously affects my weight loss. I didn't lose any weight for two weeks when I was low on my fruit/veg supply, one day after eating at least 6 servings of f/v...I'm down another pound.

Keep Looking for What Works for You

Remember that each person loses weight differently. Add one new thing to your exercise plan, food intake, OR other weight loss factor, such as drink eight 8-oz glasses of water per day. Do whatever you choose for at least one week. If it works for you, keep doing it for another week, one more week.

Postpone dessert for 1 hour after dinner

Sometimes I get the munchies after dinner. So, instead of eating junk food while watching tv, I postpone dessert for about 1 hour after dinner. I do the dishes, clean up the kitchen, watch a little tv, and it's nearly 8 pm - my usual time for the munchies.

Stay Hydrated!!!

How many times have I wanted to eat, not realizing that I was really thirsting for water??! When I stay hydrated, I'm less tempted to overeat and I have so much energy throughout the day. Water is a huge key!!!
