Take picture of your scale weight each week and put picture on Facebook

Each Monday, I'm taking a picture of my scale's digital reading and posting on my Facebook page. It's a great incentive to watch my weekend eating, get exercising, drink water etc Also, as my posts have gone up, more people have made comments and notice, giving lots of support

Purchase a good scale that measures the same every time

I had a Tanita health scale with body fat %, water % etc The problem is it was never even close to my weight and never gave the same weight twice in a row. I bought a new flat scale with big digital numbers. The scale always gives same weight and it's easy to see.

Break your crackers/chips into half

My favorite baked crackers are 15 pieces per serving. I take just 7 pieces, break each into half and then dip it in salsa or hummus! I feel like I ate a lot even though I ate only half the serving emoticon

Chocolate cravings

I satisfy my chocolate cravings by drinking cocoa (NOT drinking chocolate!). I use a heaped teaspoon of cocoa powder with 2 rounded teaspoons of reduced fat coffee whitener and boiling water instead of milk. Sweeten with Splenda or similar and get your chocolate hit for around 40 calories.

Just Do It

Sometimes when you think you can't, you can. Once when I figured out I'd computed serving sizes wrong on several items I realized I needed to be eating less. I thought I couldn't do it. After almost giving up, I decided to try. Sure enough, it wasn't that much harder when I knew what I had to do.

Frozen Purple Grapes

Package grapes in groups of about 15 in small sandwich bags and stick them in the freezer. Grab a bag when you want to snack or for breakfast in the morning. I can actually eat a bag of frozen graps with a slice of pepper jack cheese and a cup of green tea with lemon and feel totally satisfied.

Drink Water improve your skin.

Drink that water, in just a few days I have noticed a really big improvement in my skin. It was dry and flaking now it is soft and supple after only a couple days of drinking more water.
