A few of my weight loss tips.

Make peace with anything that you need to. Drink mostly water. get enough sleep. exercise in the morning an before breakfast burns more fat. bath as hot as you can stand it ( don't burn yourself) helps burn fat. tell your weekly weigh in to someone keeps you motivated/accountable. do mostly cardio. use some weights. use a tape measure track that way too. watch motivating videos often. get an exercise buddy. move to your favorite songs. don't deny yourself treats, but watch how often/portions.

Half portions..

When I first lost weight 5 years ago, I didn't know about Spark at first and had a lot to lose, so I ate the same things, but cut each portion I'd usually eat in half. It was an easy way to cut calories since I was eating way too much. I lost 50 pounds that year. After I'd started losing that way, I added in exercise and started making better food choices too. It all adds up.

It has to be special

if something isn't over the top fantastic, truly unique, i pass it up or i think to myself, i have had that before i know how it tastes. like pudding or even a candy bar i have had a bunch of times, i already know what it tastes like. but i will treat myself to a canoli at a festival. it has to be special...also eat lots of protien

Cancel your Cable!

I cancelled my cable and got Netflix and Amazon Prime. I also pledged that I will only watch TV while I exercise. So I pick a show to follow and for the 30 minutes on the treadmill, I watch that show. If it gets really interesting it also helps motivate me to get up in the morning. Best part is you don't get any tempting food commercials!! emoticon

Don't worry, be happy!

Stress (mental &/or physical) does interfere with weight & health goals.

Think positive! Wake up each morning and find something to be grateful for.
Don't wait to see results! Another year will pass no matter how much attention is paid to the hours, inches, days. No need to obsess over calories, fat, and excercise... just inch a little closer to those goal(s) more often than not.

Recognize those small successes! Drown out the inner critic with your cheer squad once in awhile!

Drinking the Day Away!

Do you ever find that you just can't gt enough liquids during your day? Does the thought of "just one more glass of water" sound like torture? I know that my palate desires FLAVOR!

Take a big pot and fill it about halfway--your daily requirement---
1) throw in 2 or 3 GREEN tea bags-- make tea and remove
2) add spices, onions, garlic, or bullion cubes/soup packet
3) boil, bring to simmer


Drink JUST THE BROTH whenever you feel hungry.

Brush Your Teeth!

When I am hit by a sweet crave, I find that if I brush my teeth, the urge to splurge evaporates! With a fresh, clean mouth, I guess I don't want to dirty it up with c-o-o-k-i-e-s.
