Use your blog to motivate you to succeed. You don't have to bare your soul or anything - but if you want and need support - that is a great place to get it.

You choose how much information you share, but it is a good place to keep track of your goals and to plan your path. If you aren't using it and you aren't succeeding - give it a try!

Bright and Early

I get up at 4:30 a.m. for work. Before I even leave the bed I do a few little stretches to help my back trouble. Then I take my shower and then eat a small breakfast to get me going. Then I login to SparkPeople to do my daily spin and log in my breakfast. I go back to my bedroom and do a few jumping jacks and some knee lifts, leg lifts and side kicks to boost my morning energy.

FAST BREAK GOAL TIPS!

When I first signed up for sparkpeople, they ask you to set your fast break goals to get you started. I did this, but I have continued to track them through my journey. I find that I always want to be able to check off those little boxes saying that I am following my plan.

Tracking my Nutrition

I fill in what I've eaten on my nutrition planner right after I eat lunch. I've found that this way, I can keep a close eye on the nutrition values and plan accordingly for my evening meal.
Whether I've eaten more than normal for breakfast and lunch, or not eaten enough, I can work my evening meal plan around all those values, and adjust up or down whether it's carbs, fat or protein. I make adjustments to keep me within my calorie range and keep me satisfied with the foods I've chosen.

SparkCoach--my lifeline!

I tried Spark People years ago, but found the site overwhelming. But now I have discovered SparkCoach, which keeps me motivated and really helps me experience all the cool things to help me live healthy. I strongly recommend trying the free 7 day trial to see what I mean. You'll be hooked, like I am! emoticon

Tracking my food choices is easier with SparkPeople

I search out Spark Recipes for my menu to find recipes that will interest my family while providing me with the healthier food options but more motivating to me it speeds up my tracking time and let's me plan ahead how much I can eat during the day.

Tracking is imperative!

If you don't measure and don't track, you really have no idea whether or not you are following your program. So often people complain that 'they are doing everything right, but not losing' only to find that they don't measure OR track!
