I get up at 4:30 a.m. for work. Before I even leave the bed I do a few little stretches to help my back trouble. Then I take my shower and then eat a small breakfast to get me going. Then I login to SparkPeople to do my daily spin and log in my breakfast. I go back to my bedroom and do a few jumping jacks and some knee lifts, leg lifts and side kicks to boost my morning energy.

Use the journal from the planner. I found that if I write a critique of my previous day it motivates me to correct the things that I am doing wrong with out realizing it. It made me understand more about nutrition especially portion control. When I look back on older titles it gives me a sense of the progress that I have made and just where I was going wrong. You just may be your own best critic.
When I first signed up for sparkpeople, they ask you to set your fast break goals to get you started. I did this, but I have continued to track them through my journey. I find that I always want to be able to check off those little boxes saying that I am following my plan.
I fill in what I've eaten on my nutrition planner right after I eat lunch. I've found that this way, I can keep a close eye on the nutrition values and plan accordingly for my evening meal.
I tried Spark People years ago, but found the site overwhelming. But now I have discovered SparkCoach, which keeps me motivated and really helps me experience all the cool things to help me live healthy. I search out Spark Recipes for my menu to find recipes that will interest my family while providing me with the healthier food options but more motivating to me it speeds up my tracking time and let's me plan ahead how much I can eat during the day.
If you don't measure and don't track, you really have no idea whether or not you are following your program. So often people complain that 'they are doing everything right, but not losing' only to find that they don't measure OR track!
