I see the positive side of all circumstances and situations. Being positive won't prevent problems from occurring but will lessen their effect on us. Always believe in yourself and trust that things WILL work out for the better.
Treat yourself as you would your best friend. Be kind, loving, tolerant and, above all, forgiving of mistakes. What a relief it is to know that I have choices! It has been a long time coming after growing up in an environment where the all or nothing mentality prevailed.
Talking to myself as a winner helps me banish the negative voice and keeps me pumped. I call it ChampionSpeak because I know that those Olympic athletes probably talk to themselves the same way and I want to get a gold medal too. Reading Spark People Motivational Articles I have 135 pounds to lose. Sometimes I wonder if I will make it. When I start to have doubts I love to read the stories of others who have lost as much or more than I have to lose. If they can do it I reason so can I. Permission to Fail, Not to Quit I am going to have good and bad days. I do not flog myself over every little misstep, but I also know that giving up is not an option and accountability is key. I note where I fail (and my responsibility in that failure) and make a measurable plan to help avoid that situation in the future.
When you are feeling blah, bored, useless, or need to just do something different, then give of your time.
IF YOU FOCUS ON WHATEVER YOU WANT AND THINK POSITIVE ABOUT IT NO MATTER WHAT IT IS YOU'LL HAVE IT. Have a throw-away day once a month Have one unscheduled day a month, where you get together with your friends, have a movie marathon or whatever and eat whatever you want (as long as you're hungry- don't eat for the sake of eating!). It always helps me de-stress and therefore not become too uptight :) |
