Make a veggie, fruit, and protein drink to get all nutrients easily without eating three squares a day.

To stay healthy, I mix in a blender two fruits, two veggies, or even five sometimes, pinto beans (protein), one egg (protein), a sugar substitute, and greens. This makes about 2 cups.

Instead of worrying all day how I'm going to get all my nutrients from all my meals, I drink only this one drink, then the rest of the day, I eat one or two small meals.

Drinking Water, Staying Hydrated

I keep a bottle of water with me everywhere I go. I drink at least 3 bottles a day and then other fluids, like hot/cold tea, etc to keep me hydrated daily. I don't drink soda anymore and notice I don't even crave. I actually don't like how it makes me feel when I drink even a small amount.
So stay hydrated throughout the day.

Try using an acupressure mat

I discovered the acupressure mat. I use it on the soles of my feet, and sometimes other areas of the body. It relaxes and stimulates at the same time. We started a SparkPeople group for those of us trying out the mat, and we welcome you!

If you're over 50, you should get a colonoscopy to check for colon cancer. The doctor removes any polyps he finds so the procedure actually PREVENTS colon cancer from developing.

Sex and preventing UTIs

Cranbery juice is great for preventing UTIs but what happens if you don't like cranberry juice? Check the vitamin aisle for cranberry fruit pills! I used to get horrible UTIs especially after intercourse. Now I always take a few cranberry pills before hand and I haven't had a UTI in about 10 years. Make sure you empty your bladder before and after as well.

Defeating GERD

I had advanced GERD for 9 years. I was paralyzed by pain, sweating, internal bleeding and weakness every single day.

Green coffee bean extract and green tea extract help regulate my sugar levels. I take Ultimate Flora, Critical Care, probiotics (2). No coffee or dairy after last meal.

I have fruit-one or two per day. No other type of sugar. I can even have lactose free milk with some instant coffee. GERD - All gone!
