How do you stay motivated and find inspiration to stick with your program?
I plug into SPARKSPEOPLE everyday. I always read what others are doing and it really keeps me motivated.
I sit down every Sunday alone and I re-comment to my weight loss goals and challenges.
I find new races to enter, I look at my routines via my exercise journal and analyze if I need to increase what I am doing because I am bored or I just need to increase because my body has adjusted.
I count my exercise time as one of my special goals "do one thing for me every day". Checking that goal box and putting the note in as to what it is reminds me why I am on this journey - to become a better me!
I do the exercise and the eating healthy for me. I stay focused on me even though it benefits my family. Sometimes we need to be #1 in our lives.
Focus on what you can do, not on what you cannot do.
I have regular check-ins wit.h my retired mom on skype. We help each other stay motivated with our own goals and it helps to keep us accountable.
Nashville, TN experienced a flood of epic tragedy and destruction last week. Rescued by boat and now working on restoration of my daughter's home, normalcy, and mental health I find that my life change of healthy eating and exercise are tools that will get me thru this difficulty!
Occasionally I will look at a photo of myself at my highest weight. It's a reality check as to why I wanted to lose weight in the first place. Especially when I'm feeling frustrated, I'll find a photo of me as a 'big' girl. Now I keep a set of these pictures in one location for easy access.
I printed out The 10 Secrets of Success Mind Over Body Series that was re-issued this month. I bought a notebook for journaling.
