Stickers. Everytime I work out I put a sticker on my calendar.

I put the calendar where others can see it. It helps me see how many times I have worked out in a week or month. Plus if there isn't a sticker by Wednesday, I will get exercising. So I can get that sticker.

Cravings

I have tested it several times : if I tell myself " want to eat just one thing" in the afternoon, I always overeat ! So, now, I know that when I have this "permissive thought", I must say "no" !!

A Rewarding Week

Instead of giving myself a (non-edible) reward for pounds lost, I give myself a reward for every week of healthy habits. This helps me stay motivated going week by week, and knowing that if I keep up a healthy lifestyle, the pounds will follow.

10-Week Toe Challenge

I am a very visual person and it helps me when I can see my progress. It can be discouraging if I don't see the scale move or my body change! Instead of using a traditional calendar to mark off my weeks of healthy eating and exercise, I paint my toenails. One toenail gorgeously decked out for every week of healthy habits. In ten weeks, my body has changed and I can start again! (Or reward myself with a full pedicure!)

I would stare up someone who can motivate me.

Weight loss is like love.. You can go on with someone. But it is not easy. It is like a rose that can thorn you with it thorns. There are failures and of course a success will also be there. I will be moving on in the day if I will stare someone who did motivate me to be fit and healthy. That someone is my son.

4 Sticks of Butter = 1 lb. !

You may have only lost one pound or perhaps even 1/2 a pound but when you think of it visually - 4 Sticks of Butter = 1 lb. Well, for one, that keeps me going !! Think about what it looks like or holding 4 sticks or squishing it in your hands. 4 sticks are a lot, now kiss them goodbye!

talk myself out of unhealty foods

If i am going to a fast food restaurant, i usually say to myself, Do you realy want that. Then i will go a different way as not to drive to the place. Then i congratulate myself when i do not get that item.
