Using Steel Cut Oats in Indian Food

I've begin substituting Steel Cut Oats in traditional Indian Dishes and have found it to keep me fuller for longer Periods as well as adding taste and Fiber to my Diet.I use these in place of Semolina and Rice while making Upma,Khichri and in making Kheer too!!!The Recipe remains unchanged.

every diabetic is different

I am newly diagnosed. I went to a dietician who explained that there is no one list of taboo foods. We all need to monitor our carb intake and how different carbs effect us The key is monitoring your blood 2 hrs. after every meal to determine what foods drive your numbers up.

Eat snacks

I find my blood sugar does better if I eat small snacks during the day and I feel better and my sugar stays down. Of course you have to eat healthy snacks.
