Take extra/Unwanted food to the office.

I can't keep unhealthy food (like all that Easter candy) around the house, so I take it into the office. I put it somewhere I can't see it and won't constantly walk by it, and let my coworkers take care of it for me. They enjoy it and I'm not tempted.

Holidays

On a holiday, its always hard for me to control myself. There are tonssss of "appetizers" all over the entire day. To prevent overeating, i put a veggie tray next to every munchie food (piggies in a blanket, shrimp, keilbasa, etc...) so i can eat something else.

Overcoming Grazing

I always have a glass of water with lots of ice in it sitting beside me. When I feel like I want to eat, I chew on the ice. Not only does it keep me for unneeded calories but it helps me get all the water I need.

Eatting Meatless

By not eating meat I am forcing myself to make healthy choices so that I can get in my protein and iron counts. I get to be inventive, and source out new recipes to try. Legumes and tofu have become my new best friend.

'Smart' salad dressing

Always get salad dressing 'on the side'..then dip your fork in it with each bite of salad....You get the flavor & MUCH fewer calories...even with higher calorie dressings!

Instead of Oil

Instead of olive or another cooking oil, I use non-fat cooking spray to make fried eggs, skillet potatoes, and to get the herbs to stick to my vegies before I roast them! It works for me and eliminates the excess calories.

Vinegar

Instead of salad dressing, try pouring a little plain Balsamic Vinegar on your salad. It's only about 5 calories per Tbsp & No Fat! And it's very tasty. :-)
(It's also good poured over sliced strawberries & grilled veggies)
Added bonus...vinegar can help reduce cholesterol

Miso soup

When I feel hungry, sometimes it has to be something hot, so I boil water and add a portion controlled miso soup and add some cooked ve and there I have it and craving is gone.
