Alot of people don't this really works.
Eating slowly gives my stomach time to signal my brain that I am full. I don't eat nearly as much.
I really don't like the taste of artificial sweeteners, so I checked out the nutritional info on Berry Sugar (a very fine white granulated sugar). Only 15 calories per tsp! Because it's so fine, even 1/2 a tsp goes really far. I had some on my strawberries this morning!
I like snacking! I've found that when I wait too long and I'm hungry-there goes the cal.on just SNACKS! So, one day I had 3 button mushrooms after getting home from the grocery store and they FILLED ME UP! I got hungry later in the day & ate the mushrooms and a little snack-crackers-but LESS of it!
If you're like me a good latte is one of those things that you look forward to. Switch your hot latte for an iced to shave 20-60 calories off your indulgence. It's also a sweeter treat for the summer months! Nothing better than an iced coffee with friends in the bright sunshine!
I have changed alot of how and what we use in our foods... they don't know there eating healthy now..
No need to buy the expensive 100 cal snacks I make my own. I weigh/measure nuts, fruits, cheese, etc. in snack bags or containers. Then I put all the snack bags in either a bowl in the refrigerator or in the fruit bowl on the counter. Healthy snacks are ready for me to GRAB and Go
I buy canned pumpkin (not pie mix -- just plain ol' pumpkin) and blend with my plain, non-fat yogurt, banana/frozen berries, and protein powder. If I don't use frozen fruit, then I toss in some ice. The pumpkin makes the texture almost fluffy, plus I start my day with a veggie!
Make the choice at the store, not in the kitchen.
If you're not at home (eg. running errands) and you find that you're hungry, find a grocery store and run in. You can get tons of healthy snack options in small portions for very little money! This lets you satisfy your hunger without resorting to the drive through!
