By eating less wholemeal bread I got constipated. 1/4 cup oat bran and 1/4 cup processed wheat bran plus cereal and 2 teaspoons psyllium husks with breakfast; and natural wheat bran and processed wheat bran for desert. The biggest trick was having bran with desert as well as for breakfast.
There are times when I crave something sweet. I'm not really hungry. I definitely don't want those calories. So, I have a variety of flavored lip glosses. I've found them in Twinkie, Banana Split, Fudge Brownie, etc. They're my no-calorie dessert.
I knew that I needed to drink 8 cups of water a day, but hated plain water. I now add the individual flavor packets to my bottle of water. I use different flavors throughout the day and no longer think of it as drinking water. It just tastes good with few or no calories.
It's true, fruits and veggies actually are good for you, and they fill you up without feeling bloated or guilty. I try to eat 5 to 7 servings a day, low calorie but high in nutrients, vitamins, and minerals.
I was pretty much hooked on baked goods. Removed them from my diet except for allowing one "cheat" day per week.
That in addition to daily cardio work contributed to 20 pound weight loss.
If I eat a smoothie in the morning- simply blending any kind of frozen fruit together with some milk and a few almonds- it gets me off to a healthy start and makes me more likely to eat healthy throughout the day.
I applaud those of you out there who lose loads! I was overweight at one point(2-3 stones). I needed to lose it for the ladies!- it was a must. Excess eating = weight gain. Everyones' metabolism is different. Fat stores are used as when food isn't available. All these statements were assessed...

I usually start the day with Coffee with cream, oatmeal, raisins, with fat free milk. That way every morning I start out on the right path. I measure everything so I can record my calories. Find an easy go to meal low in calories and make it your go-to meal. It must be something you really like.
