My kids loved this and it's a great snack or treat. Take fresh strawberries or grapes, wash them well, store in air-tight bags and freeze. I usually add a 1/4-1/2 cup per bag; the kids can grab and go! You can also use berries, bananas, kiwi, oranges or pineapple.

I found a substitute for the milk shake habit that I was often heading to the deli for--applesauce. I keep a jar in the refrig now, and I put some into a glass and then drink it through a thick straw. The texture is the same, and I'm comfortable with it.....less calories for sure.
A great tip I follow is to never eat any meals infront of the tv. If you are concentrating on the tube you miss the classic signs of being full. More people over eat while infront of the television rather then at the dinner table. Proven fact
The more real food I eat the less I want that comes in a box or carton or can, and the better I feel! Real food comes from trees and chickens, the ocean and rivers, from vines and shrubs and other plants. And the less processed the better.
