Keep Grated Carrots and Cabbage Around!

And add them to everything! They add crunch and nutrients to sandwiches, tuna salad, stews, stir fries, eggs, and a whole slew of other things!

I buy mine pre-shredded, as I'm lazy, but you definitely can DIY!

Healthier Alternative to Ice Cream is Frozen Peanut Butter

Recently saw on Dr. Oz that he recommends frozen peanut butter as a healthier alternative to ice cream.

I have also heard that mashing/blending frozen bananas is also a good "base" for making flavored ice cream without the fat.

Invest in Small plasic children sized bowls...

At most stores such as Target, Walmart, etc...they usually offer plastic wear in sets for pretty cheap, $1 or so...usually around the summer time. I purchase the small ones at are equivalent to 1 cup, I use these for cereal, snacks, even my main course at a meal, u get the right amount every time!

You can buy plates that have faint lines showing you how much of each food category you need per meal. Great to start with, when you are used to eating your protein as the largest portion.
