I wake up @ 6:30 am but get around to eating breakfast only by 8:30 am after the kids have gone to school. But my nutritionist said it is not good to give a long gap between wake up time and breakfast and so she suggested I drink a cup of milk.
I love eating dinner with my family. I have been eating smaller, more nutritious lunches so I can eat a regular dinner. Before I eat though, I put the food in that we are having and that way I can adjust my calorie intake if I need to, including trying to get in the zone on carbs and proteins.
I LOVE pizza, but hate the calories that come with it. Buy "Earthgrains Natural Whole Wheat Thin Buns" which are 100 calories for two halves. Recipe in more information. Result? ~200 calories, 16 g fiber, and a portion friendly snack thats easy!

11 ounces of chocolate soy milk has only 200 calories. You get 7 grams of protein and a good amount of vitamins and minerals. Compare to a hershey bar at 230 calories, almost half your daily value in saturated fat, and zero vitamins and minerals.
During the summer or on other warm days when my children want cold or cool snacks like ice cream, I let them eat frozen peas and carrots. They love it, it cools them down some, and gives them some nutrients.
When you order food (for delivery OR at the restaraunt). Tell the person taking the orders, when youre food is cooked to put 1/2 of youre food into a To-Go box. Then, when all the food is present, you can relax about how much food &/or calories youre about to consume.
