I have this drink every morning and it seems to help keep my cravings down or away. Plus I think it gets rid of excess water somewhat and also helps gently support the liver.
It's not my recipe, credit is due to Dr. Eric Berg of 7 Principles of Fat Burning book.
I find if you feed the body really good quality organic (wherever possible) vegetables, sprouted beans, seeds etc. and not too much sugary fruit - it tends to feel FED and therefore doesn't need or want junk.
Add protein such as eggs, fish, beef as needed to keep energy up.
I cut my cube of butter into 8 tablespoons, then cut it lengthwise into thirds. Put it into a sandwich bag, in the fridge. Then use it as needed, already measured.
1. Eat unprocessed foods.
2. Not too much
3. Mostly plants.
I find that drinking one of my 8 glasses of water before a meal helps me not to eat too much.
My sweet tooth loves ice cream during the hot summer months and it's already over 100 here! So I load my freezer with lower calorie options and have found these favorites: Weight Watchers Giant Fudge bars & Snickers, Skinny cow anything and the Breyer's Smooth and Dreamy Bars. Enjoy!
My husband packed a whole lot of healthy snacks for our weekend get-a-way. Every time we stopped for gas and a potty break I would say, "I want Doritos" and Mer would remind me that we had snacks in the car. We ate healthy snacks on the whole trip!
Portion control is very important. Keep in mind that your stomach is about the same size as your clenched fist. Compare your fist to the amount of food on your plate... and proceed with caution.
I know, a lot of us like meat (I'm so guilty) but i find that replacing chicken and red meat with fish or beans 3X a week has helped me curve that appetite. It also provides a lot of proteins.
I used to have to put 3 teaspons of sugar in my coffee. I tried sweetners, but they all tasted bitter to me. I used Sun Crystals sweetner, which is a natural sweetner, of the Stevia plant and a little sugar cane in with it. It helped me kick the habit. I now use that instead of sugar.
