To see if you workout is truly improving your health. Periodically check you resting heart rate. As your level of fitness improves, Your resting heart rate will decrease.
I jump rope in the evening before do my strength training. want to make sure that my muscles are warm. I am not fit enough to climb a local landmark's steep 1.6 mile trail. For now, a friend drops me off at the top of the hill. Resisting gravity provides a good workout, and I am forced to walk the entire course to get a ride home with my friend, who waits at the bottom of the hill. Being a mother, it is hard to find time to exercise. So when the weather is nice, I like to jump on the trampoline with my kids. It is a great workout and I get to spend time with my kids which is a double bonus! Instead of curling up in my favorite chair to read a book, I load audiobooks on my iPod and listen while walking. Dance parties with the family are a great way to share laughter, make some memories and burn those calories. My daughter will even get dressed up for them and it adds to the festive nature. I LOVE working out using the Wii Fit Plus program! For the very first time in my life, I ENJOY working out! :)
