Since my husband became ill, I have channeled all my energy into taking care of him. He is not making as much progress because he won't get up and move. I recently had a heart attack and he has to fix his own food now and do more for himself. It was hard at first, but everyday it gets easier. I let him do it.
i knew i had finally reached a place that i could succeed when i lost some weight and my first thought of celebration was NOT to go get something special to eat. the second thought was i don't want something calorie laden! i worked too hard for this. i think i am finally on my way to winning the hardest battle of my life!
Many dogs, and cats for that matter, need constant cleaning around their eyes and/or mouth. Soft shop towels are fantastic to use to gently clean these areas. Just tear the amount required (no sense wasting a whole towel on a small animal), moisten with warm water, wipe.
I am one of those people that eats food just because it is there and because I am bored. Whenever I find myself up against these times, I grab a piece of gum and pop it in my mouth. Love the delicious refreshing burst of Doublemint that fills my mouth and it takes away that longing for food. This has saved me many calories and Weight Watchers points so many times. You can find gum in my pocket or purse any time.
