Wedding Planning & Getting Healthy in 2010

Reading 50 Books in a Year!

I began a spark team called Reading 50 Books in a Year. I wanted to relate my weight loss to something I really enjoyed doing. I have a rule I can't eat while I'm reading. While it took a while for that rule to sink in, now I can't even imagine eating while reading. Besides it'd get the pages messy.

BRUSH your TEETH :P

You can't resist to eat too late in the evening? Brush your teeth AFTER your last meal. Just thinking about the taste the food will have in your mouth will discourage you to have a snack :P (and who would like to brush their teeth 2 times in the same evening?)

Water Intake

I had a hard time meeting my daily water intake, until I tried this. I set a timer to drink one cup of water during that hour. Then after 8 hours ( that time just seems to fly by during the day) I have all 8 glasses consumed!

Activity is the real key...(and that rhymes)

If you don't move...your scale will not move either! I can eat the right foods, drink the water, but if I don't do my aerobic walking...the scale stubbornly sticks!! I chose walking as my exercise because I will actually DO it. emoticon emoticon

Look in The Mirror

Profile preferred & undressed. As you lose weight you increase your satisfaction of the view and you see where the pounds are disappearing from. Effective when diet is combined with exercise and need to take showers more often. You don't have to go out of your to find a mirror in the bathroom.
